Great party at the tennisclub "De Oorsprong" in Beek-Ubbergen with live music by 2 troubadours. The presence of the first President of RT106 Nijmegen, Hans Nolet, the speech by Paul Stoelinga who also played a tape recording of the openings song at the charter in 1968,  and the presence of the since 1971 befriended tablers Jack Campling from Southend and Hans Classen from Nijmegen, made the evening extra special. In the end, no Motownhead or a party tent but a wonderfull end song and a great disco.

2003: RT106 Euromeeting in Kokemaki, Finland

On Thursday we have a pre-meeting with the Swedish tablers. Together with the Belgium tablers, we are shown around in Stockholm, and taste the different flavours of beer. In the evening we get on a "party boat" that will sail overnight to Finland. A magical trip, sailing though the clear night, seeing hundreds of small islands that lie between Sweden and Finland. Despite the lack of sleep, we play icehockey against the Fins on Friday morning. Although the International team puts up a good fight, we were no match for the Finnish team. In the afternoon we drove all-terrain-vehicles through the extensive Finnish forrests. Great experience. In the evening, roasted pig, followed by a visit to the sauna and a cool splash in the lake. The next day the official meeting was held in the morning, followed by a boat trip, pea soup and pancakes. In the evening a wonderfull dinner with live music and maybe a little bit too much of the national drink Koskenkorva. Inspired by the icehockey match, RT106 Nijmegen recites a poem called "Ouch"  . We party in a former cloister together with the Belgium, German, English, & Swedish tablers and a big delegation from Finland.  RT106 Nijmegen sings a song in French, written by Bernard Ellenbroek,  on the 'slow' melody of "Les Poppys". Despite all the practising, it was not easy. On Saturday morning, the official meeting was held during which the question was dropped who is going to organise the Euromeeting in 2005? In the afternoon "Games without frontiers" and in the evening a wonderfull dinner with karaoke and disco. To get an impression of the meeting, click on "Aubange 2004".

2006: RT106 Euromeeting in Walsrode, Germany

On Friday evening, there is a get together in the local community house where we perform the song "Hup Holland Hup", supported by the Belgiums (Who did not qualify for the Championship soccer!) and about 30 kids that were bribed with orange coloured blowers and 100 orange balloons. On Saturday, the official meeting is held but first we had to exercise under supervision of the soccer player Ballack. In the afternoon, we have fried chicken for lunch with chips. Lovely. Unfortunately, it starts to rain so the games are cancelled. Despite the bad weather, everybody is having a good time, especially the kids that have discovered a natural swimmingpool. In the evening, a wonderfull dinner in the playhouse with a very enjoyable duck race. Afterwards we dance the night away, interrupted only by some pitch battles during which the International tablers try to 'steal' some of the German banners. The Germans, however, are well prepared and only one banner goes 'missing' that evening. After a night of too much snapps and beer, we have breakfast on Sunday morning with live music from the local brassband. Ouch. For an impression of the meeting, click on Walsrode 2006

From the hands of Nigel Campling (Southend), we receive the Dutch Round Table flag which they had 'found' during the annual meeting of DTR in 2005. We are asked to return the flag to its rightfull owners.

2007: RT106 Euromeeting in Sala, Zweden

On Friday we go on a Moose-Safari, followed by a delicious barbecue in the garden of the Kingshouse and a good glas whisky in front of the fire place. At midnight, however, we are chased outside in order to participate in some typical Swedish games like boot throwing. RT106 Nijmegen wins. On Saturday morning the official meeting is held, followed by a tour through town and a picknick at the silvermine. Great herring. With a full stomach we descend into the mines for a 2 hour tour at a depth of 155 meters. The underground lakes are spectacular.  In the evening a superb dinner, with a performance by the Belgium ABBA and a contest "putting together IKEA" cupboards. The international team beats the Swedish, hands down. For an impression of the meeting click on Sala 2007.

2008: Euromeeting Southend-on-Sea 2008

On the 11 of september, a delegation of 9 men and women travelled to Southend on Sea. The hospitality was again superb and the alcohol flowed freely.
